Samantha and Pedro Mesa - Founders

Samantha and Pedro Mesa are the founders of Love and Trust Ministries, Inc. Samantha serves as President of Love and Trust Ministries, Inc. and oversees organizational progress and completion of established goals set forth by the Board of Directors. Pedro serves as Treasurer of Love and Trust Ministries, Inc. and is responsible for the organization’s financial oversight.

Samantha and Pedro are parents to three fun-loving and very active boys. The Mesa’s love spending quality family time together, including putting puzzles together, watching movies, and playing board games. Most importantly, Samantha and Pedro love the Lord and are actively involved in serving at church. As Christians, they feel it’s their calling to serve others, while providing a positive example to their boys to grow in their own faith and fulfill the calling God places on their life.

After suffering a miscarriage in March 2022, Samantha and Pedro walked through one of the toughest seasons of their life, losing their son Isaac. Through prayer and support from others, they slowly walked through their grief and found ways to honor the baby they lost. Although time continues to heal their hearts, the scars will always remain. This is why they have made it their mission to help women and families who have suffered loss, and help provide comfort to those in need.

Nejla takacs - Secretary and Board Member

Nejla Takacs serves on the Board of Directors for Love and Trust Ministries, Inc. As secretary, she is responsible for keeping formal records of the organization’s processes and decisions.

Nejla is a God-loving wife and mother of three inquisitive, fun-loving, joyful children. The Takacs family love spending time together riding bikes, playing charades, having snuggle movie days, and more. They read the Bible and pray every night together as a family, growing in their faith and leading the way for their children to grow in their relationship with the Lord.

As a registered nurse, Nejla has always had a passion for serving others and helping people who are in need. She had been searching for more ways to serve for the glory of God when offered the opportunity to be on the Board of Directors for Love and Trust Ministries, Inc. It is a privilege to work alongside Samantha and Pedro in furthering the mission to provide comfort and help women and families who have suffered loss.

Estrella Lezcano - Board Member

Estrella Lezcano serves as a Board Member of Love and Trust Ministries, Inc. She is a Christian, a mother, wife, real estate agent, and the Executive Vice President of strategic marketing and communications firm, JJS Consulting Group.

Estrella and her husband enjoy traveling with their three children to new exciting places and spending time outdoors. Whether it’s on a road trip, exploring a new hiking trail, or spending time together at home playing board games, they continue to maintain their focus and gratitude toward God through prayer, sharing their thoughts on Bible stories, and singing along to worship music.

Estrella has a professional background in hospitality, education and entrepreneurship and has been practicing real estate since 2011, helping families and individuals find their dream home or grow their wealth through real estate investment. She joined her husband’s strategic marketing and communications firm in 2019.

While searching for new opportunities to serve, she was asked by her longtime friend Samantha Mesa to join her effort and serve on the board of Love and Trust Ministries, Inc., accepting so quickly she now knows it was because the Holy Spirit had already determined it would be so. She provides direct support through marketing, fundraising efforts, strategy, and any other operational tasks needed to serve the ministry.
